The majority of May has on my end been heavily induced and infused with all things nice and sweet. That is until the Full Moon/Eclipse threw me a curveball that brought about massive waves from the deep below.
Washed ashore on the other end of that ride I find myself in newfound internal stillness, a surrender to simplicity, and trusting the Atlas of my Heart. The Taurus North Node teaches us to seek rejuvenation and refuge in the simplicity and beauty bound by Earth. The Scorpio South Node brings about what is perceived to be one of the most intense collective rebirths we’ve ever faced as a human species, which inevitably will trigger our own microcosmic rebirths. The lower vibration of Scorpio can be an almost addictive behavior to healing and peeling off layers. You know one of those intense acid peels that you only need to do a few times a month to get really glowy skin? If you use them everyday you’re actually gonna burn your face off, because the finer layers of your skin won't have the integration time that it takes to grow a new layer of skin. This is how I envision the shadow side of Scorpio.
The frequency of Taurus is that rich, tender healing balm our skin, our soul, needs while we’re birthing anew. Rooted in deep trust, that the divine intelligence that streams through this Earth, the macrocosm, and human beings, the microcosm, knows exactly where it's going, dare we lean into the trust and listen to the subtle whispers. It’s been a month of sensory enjoyment as Blake says. Below find the waves of May which moved me, a little deeper, a little sweeter.
Agroturismo Son Viscos. I stepped out of April and entered May on one of my favorite healing islands ever, Mallorca. I returned to the Crystal Island (Mallorca, like Ibiza, is made of Quartz) to celebrate the wedding of a dear friend. I arrived at Son Viscos slightly confused and loopy the way only a 6am flight can make you feel. I was greeted by the owner Michael, who immediately made me a coffee and the lush greenery and fresh mountain air. Everything about Son Viscos is beautiful; from the rooms to the people, to the endless secret garden hideaways. It’s no secret that I took my teachers training on Mallorca why I’ve been to the island at least a dozen times, but Son Viscos is by far the most special place I’ve ever stayed. It was the exact medicine I needed.
Speaking of medicine. I initially felt called to try out Anima Mundi’s “Euphoria” potion because well…. “Euphoria”. I’ve been taking it consistently for a few months now, and the subtle sensations of heightened heart frequency is definitely felt. You’re not going to go coco-loco, but it’s simply just tuning your biochemical frequency into a little more love, sweetness and joy.
“The Biggest Little Farm … The Return'' I'm crazy about The Biggest Little Farm, and the people behind this incredible, vital place on earth. And Emma, oh Emma the pig #iykyk. Watching someone build a legacy whether it’s through farming, the arts, cooking, family, politics always ignites me. Where there is heart, there is resonance. What I was so deeply moved by was the grit, the patience and the undying spirit of the whole team behind The Biggest Little Farm. It was such an important reminder (and very Taurus) of patience. One thing is when we get the idea; another thing is bringing it into the densest vibration of it all: physical manifestation. In the first documentary following the farm there are basically nothing but obstacles and dead ends, but by the ode to integrity and purpose, they not only manage to survive, but to thrive through the learning curves of life. I always loved watching movies about nature, because it teaches us so much about human nature. In this short little sequel “The Return” life on the farm truly is never not boring or challenging, yet exactly these moments continue to serve as the most pivotal windows of growth and recreation. Just like they can serve us the very same way.
About that intense acid peel mask that I just made a reference to? Woods Intense Acid Peel is actually the mask I thought of when I wrote that reference. I’ve been using this mask since Woods launched a couple of years ago and it’s actually a zinger. It peels off dead skin, and leaves the skin totally rebirthed. But do be cautious and move forward slowly. A minute or two is enough for a brand new skin.
My friend Jeanne De Kroon is a force of nature and with her brand Zazi Vintage she is creating a serious ripple effect, not only through the somewhat calcified world of fashion, but through the world entirely. By giving ancient lineages and wisdom a platform and space to share their stories, creations and history we are all reminded of the interconnectedness running through us all, while bringing Soul, Art and Heritage to the world of fashion.
While we’re in the realm of garment. Period panties?! Maybe I’m late to the party but bloody hell (pun intended) this has been a true game changer. During Illumination Womanhood we had such a tender and heart-opening workshop on bleeding with the wonderful woman that is Samantha Neal. To sit in circle with women, sharing and listening to the stories on bleeding was one of the most healing experiences I’ve had in a long time. I finally discovered period panties last September, and I’ve been a fan ever since. I feel my beautiful womb and yoni thanking me for not invading these sacred spaces during such a tender and sacred time of the month, which has helped ease pain and cramps tremendously. More so this is an incredible environmental-loving way of bleeding if free bleeding is not for you. There are multiple amazing brands out there, so attached is solely a suggestion.
Floral air. Misty mountain. Life of Leisure. One mystical hotel from the 70’s. Long, slow mornings. Hot coffee. Ripe fruit. Journaling as the Sun rises. Ancient practices on sacred land.
After two years of connecting beautifully in virtual space the Fall Equinox is our magic moment to gather in-person under the late September Sun for an exquisite and intimate retreat experience re-imagined. Moving this vision into reality has truly expanded me creatively in so many ways working alongside my wonderful team of Aquarian Women, I’m reminded why I do what I. More joy, more space, more connection, more presence, more Life, more Love. Join the waitlist to get early access to the registrations that might happen sooner than you think.
